About Us

CQ Sawmilling Pty Ltd is a sawmilling operation operating in Dingo, Central Queensland.

The company CQ Sawmilling Pty Ltd was established on 01/03/2022 and has since taken over the family business of S.T. Olive & Sons that has been operating in Dingo for some 50 years, who have been specialist timber suppliers to the underground and open cut mining industry and to associated contractors, etc.

S.T. Olive & Sons has had a history providing “Link n Lock” roofing timber props and other specialized mining timbers to mines in Central Queensland, something that CQ Sawmilling Pty Ltd intends to continue providing.

Some of the timber products we can provide:

• Specialist sawmiller to the mining industry
• Link n Lock roofing prop timbers, lids, caps & wedges
• Cut chock timber – various lengths & sizes
• F14 structural grade hardwood
• Landscape Sleepers, posts & rails
• Woodchip, sawdust & firewood

The company has its own treatment plant that can treat structural grade and landscaping timber to Tan E H4 standard.

We are aware of the importance of environmental commitments and will comply with all relevant environmental laws.  We are striving to minimize any effects that the business has on the environment and will take all necessary measures to ensure compliance with the conditions of the environmental authority.

We intend to generate very little waste volume at the mills and any waste created is treated appropriately before disposal.  Most timber by-products are sold, eg. sawdust, woodchip, firewood and side flitches are sold to garden suppliers or general public.
